Hello everyone, This is Brito Daniel and
currently reading for MBA at London Metropolitan University, UK at Esoft
Colombo. The theme for the semester is Change Management: HR Management
Approach.
Before going in to change management at large, lets see how an individual go through change management within him/herself in
his life.
Just like the earth, nature, religion and corporate,
politics, everyone one of us has been changing since we were born, from infant
to child to young, young adult, married man, corporate professional and finally
an elderly person. Whether we like it or not, we need to go through this
process. One changes for personal growth, in terms of Spiritual, physical, and
psychological and its continuous learning.
Once he or she starts to experience our life cycle, he or
she has to be ready for any changes that might occur planned or suddenly or
naturally in their life. This will occur at any stage in his life until he
dies. Once he or she learn to predict and respond or face this changes, he will
be very much successful in any forms of his or life.

Heroes of American Business says that characteristics to face changes can
be learnt and practiced. He also conclude after doing a research with 500 top
people, that most senior people who performance at peak are not the greatest
but who can predict the change, challenge the changes, to grow within and to
respond to the change in their lives. (Charles A, 1986).
So this blog will discuss how can HRM guide employees to adopt or accept change.

Yes, as you say whether like it or not, all of us must go through some changes in our life. sometimes adopting change can be a difficult task, but it can be achieved through following proper steps or processes. I feel that ones success in life not only based on the ability to simply change, but it is based on the ability to change faster than ones competition, customers and business.”

ReplyDeleteIn my line of work, i have worked with many older generation professionals who have embraced and incorporating (upto a certain extant) new technological advancement thus still competing with the younger generations more effectively.
However i also think that the current trends in the world are constantly changing with that of the need of the world(be it electronics ,social media trends, or fashion trend).
So the organization should consider more towards the long term (or the strategic) changes before devising their corporate Vision, mission, etc. accordingly.
10 years ago, we had to only deal with Baby Boomers and Generation X. But it has come to the point where we need to work with Baby Boomers, X Generation, Y Generation and also Generation Z. As you exactly said these generation will compete with each others in terms of change management

ReplyDeleteHi Brito,Change management is important tropic to discuss in modern world.there are significant changes being taken place in technology,Market,Economy,Political environment eventually perception of the people.Therefore any organisation must change their processes and activities in order to match to environmental change.unless any organisation can not be survived at all in changing condition.

ReplyDeleteChange management is univrsal topic can apply for any sector or industry hence world of today is different from yesterday also tomorrow is totally different from today. Nobody can stop evaluation but only thing can do against that if organization or individual need to survival.
